Pedigree

People have asked me about the name for this Sheltie.  Boudicca was the Queen of the Iceni, a British tribe.  Boudicca (no one is sure of the spelling) in 61 A.D. led the Iceni in a revolt against the Roman Empire in Britan after her village was plundered, her daughters raped, and she was flogged by a Roman Centurian.  Boudicca led the charge in her war chariot (pictured) with her two wronged daughters. To the Victorians, Boudicca was a heroine who died defending the liberty of her county.
